Serve alongside fellow followers of Christ. Our church is full of ministry and service opportunities. Maybe your service is manning the food pantry, greeting visitors, ushering attendees, hosting a home fellowship group, leading a department, witnessing on the street, volunteering in the nursery or teaching children's Sunday school.
Jesus taught that leadership achievement and greatness could be attained through serving others selflessly. It is through this process that you develop your leadership potential, discover your purpose, teach God's Word, apply your learned skills and use your God given talents. When you serve to benefit the needs of others, you are serving Jesus himself.
The church is a living organism of believers. It's not the "wood and the nails." As a hand, foot and leg helps a body function, so are you to the body of Christ when you serve.
